Performance Pay | Based in Ames, IA
C&K Inc. is hiring a driven, mechanically minded installer to join our Architectural Sheet Metal team. This is a non-customer-facing, commercial field role built for someone who takes pride in precision, solves problems on the fly, and wants to earn based on output—not time.
If you think in dimensions, take ownership of your work, and want a clear path to leadership and higher income, this role is built for you.
What You’ll Do
- Install custom-fabricated architectural sheet metal systems (coping caps, flashings, wall panels, edge metal, etc.)
- Read blueprints, layouts, and field measurements with accuracy
- Operate metal forming equipment, hand tools, and lifts
- Solve real-world install challenges while maintaining quality standards
- Work as part of a small, high-output crew with a path to team leadership

- You’re reliable, organized, and take ownership of outcomes
- You perform well in physically demanding environments (heights, weather, lifts)
- You want more than a job—you want to grow into a lead role and increase your earning power
Compensation & Performance Pay

- Clear Path to Higher Pay: As you improve your speed, accuracy, and ability to handle complex installs, your earnings increase. There is no artificial ceiling.
- Team Lead Upside: Lead installers earn a higher percentage per job and take ownership of job quality, coordination, and execution. Leadership directly increases earning potential.
- Real Opportunity: This role is designed for individuals who want to be paid based on what they produce—not capped by hourly limits. Strong installers can earn well above typical hourly roles.
Schedule
- Monday–Friday: 7:00 a.m. – 3:45 p.m. (plus lunch)
